Hello Fellow Equestrians!
I’m Nona Williams, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as the face behind Airmid Equine Massage. With a background as a registered nurse, a passion for hiking, and an unwavering love for animals, I’ve spent over three decades in the professional healthcare realm. In my free time, I extend my care to equestrian rescue, where my commitment to our four-legged friends truly flourished.
My journey in horse rescue led me to a profound decision: I wanted to expand my caregiving expertise to benefit these magnificent animals I hold so dear. That’s when I became a certified equine massage practitioner, and I can honestly say that I find immense joy in providing comfort to these beautiful creatures.
I obtained my certification from the Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester, Massachusetts. This program consists of 200 hours of instruction both in class and hands on, encompassing detailed studies of anatomy and physiology, fundamental and advanced massage techniques, acupressure and an introduction to the Masterson Method, along with various other essential aspects for working safely with and around horses.
The name “Airmid Equine Massage” was carefully chosen to honor my Irish heritage. Airmid, the Celtic goddess of healing, is described as a gentle and compassionate woman with a sincere desire to heal those in her care. I believe that this name perfectly encapsulates my mission.
If you believe there’s an opportunity for me to support your beloved equine companion, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I eagerly anticipate the chance to meet you and your horse!
